Vanita Barany studied the post-graduate ‘Works of Art’ course at Sotheby’s, followed by ‘Modern Art’ and ‘Art Economics ‘ at Christie’s. She founded Art Room London in 2010 to provide an accessible, friendly and specialist service covering all aspects of art collecting.

Since then, she has built a reputation for thoughtful guidance, strong relationships with artists and galleries, and a clear, grounded view of the art world. Her clients include private collectors, interior designers and first-time buyers, all drawn to her calm, knowledgeable approach and her commitment to finding art that genuinely suits the person and the home.

In recent years, the landscape has shifted. The market has contracted. Galleries in major cities have closed. Many talented artists no longer have long-term gallery representation and are self-funding exhibitions or opening their studios to survive. Group shows have become more common, and artists are increasingly working independently.

Artroom Curated was created in response to this. It offers a platform for artists who deserve to be seen, giving them access to new audiences and collectors who value quality, clarity and honesty. It allows Vanita to champion artists she believes in, while giving collectors a place to discover beautiful work with confidence.
