Grace Mattingly (b. 1991, Chicago) is a London-based artist whose paintings explore movement, transformation and possibility through dreamlike figurative scenes. Drawing on surrealism, fairytales, classical mythology, prehistoric art and 1990s–2000s pop culture, her work considers themes of gender, sexuality, play and the unconscious through a feminist and queer revisionist lens.

Mattingly holds a BA in Philosophy from Columbia University and an MA in Painting from The Slade School of Fine Art. Her solo exhibitions include Haricot Gallery, Goldfinch Gallery, Arusha Gallery and Taymour Grahne Projects, with group exhibitions at Huxley Parlour, Sid Motion Gallery and Paul Smith Foundation. She is also a recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant.
